Rockwalk (180 front pivot to 180 rear pivot)

The 360 Rockwalk is an extension of the 180 degree front pivot which it is best for you to have learnt fully before trying the move. It is highly pointless at comps but to show off it is great! It is good practice though for the 180 front and rear pivot.

Step 1: Pull a standard 180 degree front pivot just as you would normally.

Step 2: Once you have completed a full 180 and you feel the rear wheel touch down on the ground you have to use the momentum from the first 180 to pull a further 180 on the rear wheel this time which is done in one smooth movement. Stand up on the bike for extra leverage which makes it easier to pull of the last 180 and at the same time use you hips, body weight and arms on the bars to swing around on your rear wheel. The higher you have the font wheel the easier it will be (to a point) .The main way to get further and further around on your last 180 on the rear is to use the momentum from the 1st 180 to it's greatest so really put effort into making it in one smooth movement. You may find it easier to add a small hop whilst at the end of the rear 180 pivot which should feel natural as you hop up with your feet whilst swinging around 180.

Bullet Points

  • Use the momentum from the first 180 degree pivot
  • Use your hips, body weight, and arms to pull the bike around the other 180
  • Add a small hop if necessary to get more distance on the last 180
