Front Pivot

This trick is an extension of the endo. It allows you to turn to a maximum of 180 degrees on your front wheel. It takes practice to get it to a 180 degree spin but shouldn't be to hard to learn a 90 degree front pivot.

Step 1: roll along at jogging pace as with the Endo with your favorite foot forward and cranks horizontal. When happy start to turn your front wheel the opposite way to your best side whilst still at jogging pace. When the front wheel has turned about 45 degrees you pull an endo but instead of just going up you use your hips and body weight to swing the bike around on the front wheel. Your upper body should turn square with the handle bars whilst hips are straight with the bike. The steeper you pull the endo the easier it is to get a bigger pivot in (but not to high)

Step 2: To get over a 90 degree pivot will take time for most of you and lots of practice on a flat carpark. It may take a while to get up to a 180 pivot but keep trying because it is well worth it.

Bullet Points:

  • Turn the front wheel first before the Endo
  • keep upperbody square with the handlebars
  • keep hips straight with the bike
  • The higher the Endo the easier it is (but not to high)
