Bunnyhop

This must be the most useful trick in the book, It's age old. Once you can bunnyhop you can then go on to learn tricks like the sidehop and the ability to get up obstacles. You won't get any where in trials without it.

Step 1:. It is easiest to learn by rolling along with cranks horizontal and best foot forward at a fast jogging pace. When ever feels best for you, you have to yank the bars upwards with movement from hands which anyone can do while at the same time the harder part, lifting the rear wheel of the ground with your feet.

Step 2: To lift the front wheel up just hold the handlebars like you would on any bike and yank your arms upwards towards the sky and lean back if you want them to come up more, now for the tricky part.........

Step 3: To lift the rear wheel involves pushing your feet downwards to create tension and grip on the pedals while going along at fast jogging pace. To make your feet stick to the pedals like glue you have to push downwards on the pedals with your feet using all most all of your downward weight, then when you want to lift rear wheel up you explosively push your pedals with feet down, then scoop them out and back and then up in one smooth movement, It's like a 270 degrees out of a 360 degree circle. It will take a bit of practice so stick with it and then move on to bigger things!

Bullet Points:

  • To lift rear wheel up push feet down back and then up as Hans Rey says in one smooth movement
  • Use Flat Pedals because clipless pedals encourage bad technique
