{Bars}

Bars: Riser bars are most peoples choice, a suitable rise on the bar is between 1.5"-2" any more and it'll feel silly and look silly too. They need to be as wide as possible, which any good downhill bar should be anyway. Some bars are quite flexy which can be very off putting for moves like fronthops, and on big drops, look for a bar that is as solid as possible. XC bars might be light but if your not smooth it's best to stay away as if your bars give way when your going big it could be the end. Worldforce riser bars are good at £20 whilst Azonic Pyramid bars or Raceface Air Alloy bars are top bars for that little bit more.

Stem: For short trials specific frames a stem around 80-100mm is just right as it prevents those legs into bar incidents and makes the bike much easier to control on the back wheel, the shorter the stem gets the snatchier the control of the bike will get, and stuff on the back wheel is generally harder. It needs a rise of say 30 degrees to give your ride position height. But at the end of the day it is down to the riders preference to the exact rise and length of their stem, remember that the right dimensions in a stem could completely transform the ride of a bike.
