British National Championship Club Secretary: Contact Brian Matthews for further info- 01277 210284 (ring 6-10pm) The season: Usually around April- September A comp every: During the season either one a month or one every two months location of Comps: Shropshire, Devon, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Essex Categories at the Comp's as of 2001: As of 2001 any rider aged 14 or under can only compete on 20" wheeled bicycles at any of the British National rounds, this follows BIU rules 20" Bicycles Only Poussin (for 20" riders, aged up to 9) Minime (For 20" riders, aged up to 13) Cadet (20" riders with good comp experience, aged up to 16) Junior (For 20" riders of a high standard, aged up to 18) Elite (For pro standard 20" wheeled riders, Must be seeded) 26" Bicycles only Support Class- For competent riders aiming to progress up to the harder Expert category Expert- For riders of a high standard riding 26" wheeled bicycles, any age Master- For pro standard riders, 26" wheeled bicycles Riders at each comp: 100+ competiters Terrain at Comps: varies wildly depending on location Can anyone take part: You must own a British Bike Trial liscence (obtained from Brian Matthews, for his phone no. see above. They cost £10 and cover you for one year. You also must fill in the entry form and send it off at least a couple of weeks in advance of the competition. Entry forms come with the Essex BikeTrial Club monthly newsletter you recieve if you are a member.
